Are we the good guys

We hoard the gifts of nature,
We kill them not to fill our stomach, but to fill our purse.
We shred the nature and distribute among ourselves,
Then fight for the rights, of which was ours never.

We try to play god, we want everything the way we want them to be.
We are never satisfied to suck the nature out for our comfort,
The minerals that took millions of year to form.
And pollute with it our only home.

We domesticate the plants, the animals,
Who have been happy on their own.
Force them down their throat, the ways we want them to be.
Never ever thought if they ever were happy with us.

We steal food from other creatures,
Who fed on it before we became a conscious being.
Now they are the problem, and we poison them to get rid of.
They are the bad guys, the pests.

Is it not right to introspect the truth,
To see ourselves from the right angle?
Are we on the right path in the circle of nature,
Are we the good guys in the story of the universe?
